This natural-gas-powered compact car has held the title of "cleanest-running internal-combustion-engine vehicle ever tested by the EPA" since it was introduced in 1998. Until recently the Civic GX was marketed only to fleets, though motivated individuals could get their hands on them, as I did with my natural-gas vehicles; as of early 2005, though, Honda is starting to market the vehicle to consumers, a first for any automaker. Honda maintains a website for it, and while I haven't found an owners' club, a recent new owner has started up a Yahoo! discussion group for the vehicle.
